Terms of Participation

  1. The international Festival of Young Pianists is organized every two years.

  2. The 8th edition of the festival will take place between 21 – 24 May 2011.

  3. Aplication forms should be sent to:

and must be sent no later than the 10th of May, 2011.

  1. Application orms should contain a copy of a birth certificate of each participant, one signed photo and a confirmation of making a payment (130 PLN).

  2. The cost of traveling and board accommodation must be covered by each participant.

  3. Only children under 14 years old may participate in the contest:

I group – children 10 years old and younger – born in 2001

II group – children 12 years old and younger – born in 1999

III group – children 14 years old and younger – born in 1997

  1. Each festival participant is charged 130 PLN, which must be paid till 30th o April, 2011 -

The organizing committee agreed on following rewards: I group: item rewards, II and III group: 1st prize – 300 euro, 2nd prize – 250 euro, 3th prize - 150 euro.

  1. The organizers of the festival can turn the aplication dawn if it does not satisfy their conditions.

  2. All applications will be accepted on the basis of the order of submission.

Scoring of Participants

  1. All scoring will be done by the Commission.

  2. All decisions of the Commission are final.

  3. The panel of judges is created by famous music personalities from the world of music. All participants will be judged by the book.

  4. Students will perorm according to the date of birth.

  5. Students may perform the pieces in any order they wish, but they must play from memory.

  6. Competitions will take place it the Cultural Centre of the city and District of Glubczyce.

  7. All participants will recive certificates of participation and souvenirs.

 

The Festival program Includes

  • seminars for piano instructors, parents and students. These meeting will be conducted by profesional teachers and critics from poland and abroad.

  • Concerts, performed by international award – winning children, teacher – judges, prize – winners at this festival.

  • The exhibition of children's drawings - „Music seen by children's eyes” (children under fourteen).

Program

I Group – up to the 10 years o age

  1. the 18th century dance – Bach, Haendel, Cimarosa, Scarlatti or by other composers.

  2. Etude or a piece with elements of technioque.

  3. First part of sonatina or clasic sonata.

II Group – up to the 12 years of age

I stage

  1. John Sebastian Bach: „Prelude” or „Two Voice Invention” or „Three Voice Invention”

  2. Virtuoso piece or virtuoso etude.

  3. A cantilena piece – chosen by a participant.

II stage

  1. A piece by 20th century composer (from the participant's country – if possible).

  2. Sonatina or classic sonata – entire piece.

III Group - up to the 14 years of age

I stage

  1. Two contrasive parts of the baroque suite – Haendel, Bach.

  2. Virtuoso piece or virtuoso etude.

  3. Frederick Chopin piece – chosen by a participant.

II stage

  1. A piece by 20th century composer (from the participant's country – if possible).

  2. Sonatina or classic sonata – entire piece.

 

The program was consulted with Wiera Borisowna – Nosina, Celina Hellerowa, Alicja Paleta – Bugaj and Eleonora Tkacz.
